Rico Shaw, a multi-talented individual, wears many hats as a fashion designer, event planner, artist, and devoted father. His journey into music started at the tender age of 8 when he wrote love poems, and over the years, Rico's passion for music has evolved. Originally from Mississippi, Rico now calls Minnesota home.

Inspired by artists like A$AP Rocky and Playboi Carti, Rico faced a challenge when his music was deemed hits but not marketable. Rather than being disheartened, he embraced this feedback, shifting his focus to cater to his target audience. 

Rico's commitment paid off, making him the first underground artist in Minnesota to land a major feature with his song Lavish feat. Rich The Kid.

After a brief hiatus, Rico returned with a bang, hosting a New Year's Eve album release party for "Blackhearted," drawing over 900 attendees. 

In the coming months, Rico embarked on a self-managed tour, hitting various spots like California, Texas, Florida, New York City and Canada without external support.

After his tour, Rico was offered a YSL Record deal, but he opted to remain authentic, declining the offer. His recent project, "Lotus 2," garnered immense success, prompting Rico to emphasize acceptance of his evolving musical style.

With two more projects in the "Lotus" series and a 50-song project in the pipeline for 2024, Rico aims to save lives through his craft.
